Statement
by Representative Benjamin Gilman
July 15, 1999
I want to
hear more form President Lee before commenting n the relations
between Taiwan and the People's Republic of China. In
the interim, I urge the government of Beijing to resist the
urge to use bellicose statement or make threatening gesture
toward the democratic island of Taiwan.
