It is a great privilege to congratulate you upon your recently concluded Taiwanese American Heritage Week. The Taiwanese people are a great inspiration to people everywhere who cherish freedom. Your sacrifices and efforts to build a prosperous society are legendary. But more specifically, I am grateful for the countless contributions Taiwanese Americans make to the Houston area. You have my respect and appreciation.
