TAHW MESSAGE FROM CONGRESSMAN BOB ETHERIDGE (D-NC)
May 8, 2001
I am pleased to greet you and all the members of the
Taiwanese American Association in North Carolina during
Taiwan American Heritage Week. I am certainly glad to hear
that there is a special time set aside to remember and honor
the contributions Taiwanese immigrants have made to American
life. Our country would not be as great as it is today
without the work of all our diverse citizens.
I understand that you are donating books about Taiwan to
Eva Library and setting up an exhibit there as part of the
festivities. What an excellent way to share Taiwans
culture and heritage! It is critical to teach our children
and all our citizens to recognize the value of all cultures.
Again, nest wishes during Taiwanese-American Heritage
Week.
Sincerely,
Bob Etheridge
Member of Congress
