I am delighted to send my congratulations to you and your colleagues as
you celebrate Taiwanese-American Heritage Week. America is the
beneficiary of immigration from all over the world which has made us the
strong, diverse, innovative nation that we are today. The ability of
people who have come from various parts of the world to join in building
our country while maintaining their own cultural heritage is an enormous
asset to us.

Thank you for the contribution you and other members of your association
have made to this extremely happy result. By continuing to celebrate
your own culture within the context of American society, you continue to
add to the benefits we receive from immigration.
