Dear Friends:
As Governor, I am delighted to extend my warmest
greetings to the members and guest attending the Taiwanese
American heritage Week co-sponsored by the Taiwanese Association
of American and Montgomery County Government.
It is a great honor for me to add my support to this
exciting celebration.
You are to be commended for promoting the Taiwanese
culture and heritage through your professional and education
activities. Your
members have truly made a positive e difference in the lives
of so many people throughout our great State, our nation
and our world.
Understanding, appreciation and promoting your lineage
and heritage is a tribute to all those who came before you
and to future generations of American of Taiwanese origin.
I am very proud to live in a State that is so diverse
and have always believed that Maryland’s diversity is its
greatest source of strength.
It is a blessing that brings us together as people
and makes us stronger as a society.
Please accept my best wishes for a most enjoyable
and memorable event and continued success in the years ahead.
I thank you for your valuable leadership and wish
each and every one of you continued happiness, good health,
peace, and prosperity.
