Dear
Editor:
President
Clinton has passed the torch on to Al Gore. But Americans
must consider what type of "progress" they desire.
Clinton/Gore's
version of "tolerance" and "diversity"
excludes the freely elected Taiwanese President Chen Shui-bian.
Taiwan's courageous President stopped in California this week,
but was "warned" by Clinton's State Department that
he could visit only if any meetings were private. Chen
was coerced into canceling a meeting with several members
of our own freely elected Congress.
Clinton/Gore
are weighed down by illegal donations from the Communist Chinese
and they now lay prostrate before their masters licking their
boots. Gore's campaign finance reform ideas run toward
similar silencing of free speech in the U.S., not ending his
own illegal gravy train.
Congressman
Dana Rohrabacher stated "It is a pretty sad day when
we have a democratically elected president in town...who has
been cut off from talking to elected officials here in order
to prevent gangsters in a dictatorship from getting mad at
us."
Clinton/Gore
silence Chen but they have hosted Chinese Generals such as
Xiong Guankai, Zhang Wannian and Chi Hoatian in the White
House and have raised toasts to them. These murderers
were responsible for the Tiananmen Square massacre.
Chi Hoatian, who is currently China's Defense Minister, has
publicly said that war with the U.S. is "inevitable."
Beyond
toasts, Clinton/Gore have remained indifferent to the espionage
at Los Alamos, the theft of our military secrets, and China's
threat to use nuclear force to against the U.S. if we honor
our treaty with Taiwan. Congressman Duke Cunningham
(Navy Cross, Silver Star, Purple Heart) has shown that China's
military has been allowed to view U.S. fighter tactics at
Top Gun, U.S. anti-submarine forces, logistical teams and
many other sensitive areas.
The
current political conventions are not just about semantics.
As a rule, Americans should choose leaders who have not potentially
committed treason against our nation.
Sincerely,
Robert
G. Dwyer
